Afghan women strike back at Taliban with #DoNotTouchMyClothes campaign

Type “traditional Afghan clothing” into Google and you will be overwhelmed by the sight of the multicolored cultural dresses. Each is unique, with hand-made embroidery and heavy designs, small mirrors neatly placed around the chest, long, pleated skirts, perfect for twirling during “Attan” or the Afghan national dance. Some women wear embroidered hats, others wear heavy headgear, depending on which region of Afghanistan they are from.
