Afghan Taliban capture capital Kabul after 20 years
President Ashraf Ghani left the country after Taliban forces entered the outskirts of the city.
The Taliban entered the city center without encountering resistance. The presidential palace has been captured.
MHP President Devlet Bahceli assessed developments in Afghanistan with a written statement.
The titles of Bahçeli’s statements are as follows:
“The only cause of the twilight image of Afghanistan today has been the imperialist countries playing with the social balance and the values of this country with the demand to bring freedom and democracy.
“EACH OPTION, INCLUDING THE MEETING WITH THE TALIBAN, MUST BE CONSIDERED”
It is essential for Turkey that Afghanistan achieves internal peace, social peace and political stability. It will be unthinkable for our military elements to leave Afghanistan. Coming back from Afghanistan is endangering Anatolian geography. Our ambassador in Kabul and other diplomats must continue their presence in Afghanistan with determination and embrace. Every option should be considered, including negotiation with the Taliban.
