A bomb attack was carried out in a mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, during Friday prayers. At least 12 people, including the imam, died in the incident.
The attack took place on the second day of Eid ul-Fitr as the congregation gathered at the mosque for Friday prayers.
When the crowd began to pray, an explosion occurred in the mosque. Afghan police said 12 people, including the mosque’s imam, died and 15 were injured in the attack.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. During their first investigation, the police announced that the imam may have been targeted by the attack.
