How vision loss drove cyclist Steve Bate to the Paralympic Games

Steve Bate was told he had four years to go before he lost his eyesight completely.

But instead of giving up on his dream of becoming a mountain guide, Steve took it to the next level, first climbing one of the world’s toughest climbs, then making his way to the ParalympicsGB and the Games. Tokyo.

After winning gold in Rio and setting a new world record, Steve and his co-driver seeing Adam Duggleby hope to repeat their success in Tokyo.
