At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Abdullah Öztürk won the gold medal by beating South Korean Young-Kun Kim 3-1 in men’s singles in table tennis (class 4).

Abdullah Öztürk defended his title at Rio 2016 and made history by winning the Paralympic gold medal for the second time in a row. Nazmiye Muratlı had already achieved this success in weightlifting at the Paralympic Games of 2012 and 2016.

Abdullah, who also won the team bronze medal in the 4-5 class, increased the number of medals to 3 at the Paralympic Games. Abdullah Öztürk won Turkey’s first gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
