Born on June 8, 1999, Mete Gazoz continued his career with the Istanbul Archery Youth and Sports Club.
Gazoz represented his country at the first European Games held in Baku. He finished the qualifying round in 46th place with 641 points. He lost to his Ukrainian opponent in the first round and was eliminated.
He won the silver medal in the individual category at the 2016 European Archery Championships in Nottingham.
The 17-year-old archer became the youngest athlete on the Turkish team competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
