Sultans of the Net faced Serbia in the semifinals of the CEV European Championship.
Serbia won the match 3-1.
Turkey got off to a good start in the fight in Belgrade, winning the opening set, which lasted 42 minutes, 34-32.
As the Net Sultans lost the second set, which lasted 33 minutes, 26-28, they went on to lose 3-1 with scores of 25-23 and 25-13.
The championship and third place matches will be played on September 4.
TURKEY HAS 2 SECOND AND THIRD PLACE
While Russia won the championship 6 times in the organization, Serbia reached the happy ending 3 times. Poland, West Germany and Italy have won the trophy in their museums twice, while Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands and Bulgaria have won the championship once.
Turkey, meanwhile, have taken second place (2003, 2019) and third place (2011, 2017) twice at the European Championship, where they have participated 14 times.
