The fight against forest fires continues in Turkey.
The fire that started in Muğla Köyceğiz on July 29 continues into its 14th day.
The flames, which intensified in the wind yesterday, intervened by land and air.
However, due to the steep and rocky nature of the area, tackling the land is difficult.
12 helicopters are currently actively working in the Koycegiz fire.
The fire which continues on the line between the Çövenli plateau and the Çiçekbaba peak does not present any risk for the settlements.

Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said the threat to settlements in the Köyceğiz fire has been eliminated and the blaze has ended.
“ THE FIRST UNIT OF THE YENIKOY THERMAL PLANT HAS BEGUN ”
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez said that at 6:30 a.m. this morning the first unit of the Yeniköy thermal power plant started to operate and that they will commission the second unit tomorrow.
POSTPONED TO AFFECTED ELECTRIC FIRE PROJECTS
Minister Dönmez announced that the electricity bills of those affected by the fire have been postponed for 3 months.
The forest fire in Bucak district in Burdur also occurred.
The flames that rose in the forest area of Çobanpınarı village, Sarıdere locality, spread in a short time under the effect of the wind.
The Bucak Forest Operations Directorate and firefighters were dispatched to the area on notice.

Due to the fire, the districts of Gökalan and Çınar of the town of Kocaeliler, the Özkaraseki section of the village of Karaseki, the village of Kargı and the village of Çobanpınarı were evacuated for precautionary purposes.
The fire was retaliated with 7 helicopters and 3 planes.
“DANGEROUS FIRE BUCAK”
Minister Pakdemirli said: “The burning of the parish is dangerous. There are houses on fire, houses evacuated, ” he said.
