Ciftlik Bank fraudster Mehmet Aydın, who visited the Turkish Consulate General in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is taken to Turkey.

Interior spokesman smail Çataklı made the statement. Çataklı said: “Our friends took them, the plane that will bring them left at 9:50 am.”

According to Çataklı’s statement; Mehmet Aydın is expected to be in Turkey around 10:30 p.m.

Aydın went to the Turkish Consulate General in Sao Paulo, Brazil, after a video in which he said he would surrender to Turkish justice.

According to the procedure, Aydın was first to be handed over to the Brazilian police. This means that Aydın spent 40 days in detention in Brazil during the extradition process. It was known that Turkey had contacted the Brazilian authorities about the acceleration of the extradition process.


Aydın fled abroad with Çiftlik Bank, of which he was the founder, in 2018, collecting 1.1 billion 139 million lire from 132 thousand 222 people, and a Red Notice was issued about him.
