Message from President Erdogan to Athens | TVN

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a video message to the “Symposium on the Sea of Islands and the Problems of Neighborhood Relations with Greece” organized by Dokuz Eylül University and Başkent University.

” WE ARE WAITING FOR GREECE TO AVOID WHAT HAPPENED ”

President Erdoğan addressed the Athens administration as follows in his message:

“We expect Greece to respect our rights and interests and to avoid a fait accompli and unilateral actions. I believe that we will find solutions based on equity, justice and cooperation with Greece, which respect neighborhood law. We want to leave a more stable and peaceful future for our children instead of a lump of problems. ”

Stating that the tension in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean is due to Greece’s intransigent attitude, Erdoğan said: “Greece has accelerated its maximalist policies instead of making a significant contribution to our well-meaning efforts. We behaved calmly in the face of the steps taken by our neighbor Greece, which increased the tension. We have given priority to solving our problems through dialogue and negotiation. While defending our legitimate rights to the end, we have never neglected to open up a field for diplomacy. Today we maintain this positive attitude, ” he said.

” WESTERN COUNTRIES HAVE NOT LEARNED THE NECESSARY LESSONS FROM AYLAN BABY’S DRAMA ”

Erdoğan recalled the human tragedy of immigrants in the Aegean Sea and reacted to European countries with the following words:

“Baby Aylan, whose tiny body washed up on the beach 6 years ago, is remembered as a document of shame in the modern world. Western countries, especially Europe, have not learned the necessary lessons from the drama of baby Aylan.

“THE DOORS CLOSED TO SYRIANS ARE OPEN TO FETO MILDERERS”

No steps have been taken to ensure that the refugees live in safety on their own land. It is a source of embarrassment for humanity to open the doors that were closed to the Syrian oppressed to the FETO clerical criminals.
