In a written statement, Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık said they continue to receive requests for cash assistance through the online government as part of the Outbreak Support Program, and that ‘they would not leave needy citizens alone.
Insisting that they will continue to support households in need to minimize the negative effects of Covid-19, Yanık said: “We have made a payment of 1,000 lire to each of our last 108,000,262 households in the framework of the epidemic support Program. Thus, the social support program that we have implemented with the requests that we have received through the government online. So far we have provided more than 2.2 billion Lira helps cash to over 2.2 million households in Turkey.
“SOCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR 7 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS”
Explaining that they have provided social assistance to 7 million different households through the assistance provided during the three phases of the “Outbreak Social Support Program” and the “We are enough for us Turkey” campaign , Yanık said:
“Payments to households periodically deemed in need by our Social Aid and Solidarity Foundations were deposited into the bank accounts they indicated when they requested. We pay aid payments to those who do not have banking information via the PTT.
