The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure made a statement regarding the renovation of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet (FSM) Bridge, which is expected to take 900 days.
The ministry announced that the work will be completed with a total of 75 night shift days, 5 nights per month.
The ministry’s press release is as follows:
“The replacement of the suspension cords of the FSM bridge will end with a total of 75 days of night work, 5 nights per month.
“THE BRIDGE WILL NOT BE COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC IN WORK”
During the works, the bridge will in no case be completely closed to traffic, and if necessary, only one lane will be closed as part of the occupational health and safety measures, and traffic will be carried out in a manner that the traffic flow is not affected.
