President Erdoğan: We cannot reimburse monuments of courage

Today is July 15, 2021 …

It has been exactly 5 years since FETÖ’s bloody coup attempt in 2016 to achieve its disloyal ambitions.

The organization’s treacherous plan, which killed 251 people, was stopped by popular resistance. Those who were martyred on July 15 are commemorated with events in many iconic places.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during the July 15 martyrs commemoration program at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

The titles of Erdogan’s statements are as follows:

“At the beginning of my speech, I pray for God’s mercy for our heroic martyrs who died for the good of our country. I wish our veterans good health and a long life.

“WE CANNOT PAY THE MONEY FOR THE COURAGE THAT SHUT DOWN THE TANKS WITH THEIR BROKEN HANDS”

On behalf of my nation, I would like to express my gratitude to all of my nation who took care of their freedom, their call to prayer, the flag and the state that night. We can never repay the brave men whose sacrifices turned that dark night into a snowy morning. We cannot justify the bravery that stopped the tanks with their bare hands that night.

“ JULY 15 IS THE VICTORY OF THOSE WHO HELP DEMOCRACY ”

July 15 is the victory of the nation and of those who give their hearts to democracy, it is the name of the victory of law over lies, justice over oppression and independence over independence . This nation has once again shown the whole world that Turkey is impassable.

“NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFINITELY DECIDE THIS WORLD STRUGGLE”

No one, especially those who served under this distinguished roof (Assembly), has the right to trivialize this glorious struggle of the nation on the night of July 15. The epic of July 15 is a common source of pride for all of us. The martyrs of July 15 are today the representatives of the struggle for rights against lies, cruelty and blasphemy.
