President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the “1 Millionth TOKİ House Turnkey Ceremony” with President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop in Ankara, Sincan Saraycık TOKİ Houses.

Highlights of Erdogan’s statements, speaking here:

I hope that all of this work will be beneficial to our country and our nation. I wish all our fellow citizens to stay at home in peace, security and well-being.

I watch our works, may Allah be pleased with them all, from architects to workers. Wonderful works have been produced.

After 1950, when the migration from the village to the city intensified, our country became a prisoner of an ugly construction.

“WE ARE ENTERING THE AGE WITH 81”

As mass accommodation in Ankara, we have done, are doing and will continue to do all the fine work. In infrastructure and transport, we have passed the age of 81, starting from Istanbul.

To date, we have brought over 1,000,000,000 residences and workplaces and over 24,000 facilities such as stadiums, hospitals, schools, dormitories and sports halls to our country through TOKİ.

“WE HAVE OBTAINED 258 THOUSAND HOUSES”

With an investment of around 200 billion lire, we have made our people homeowners from all walks of life. We are still continuing the construction of 76,000 social housing units. We rolled up our sleeves for 258,000 homes with an investment cost of TL 30 billion in 122 projects in 61 provinces for urban transformation.

We will soon start deliveries of the 5,000 homes we are building in Izmir. We make state owned areas all over Turkey available to our citizens without worrying about rent.

We don’t just build four walls, we give our people a home where they can live in peace. We sincerely believe that our nation deserves the best of everything.
