Storm kills 11 in Indonesia

Numerous fishing boats capsized in a storm on July 14 off West Kalimantan, Indonesia.

11 people on the sinking boat lost their lives, at least 42 people were missing.

The first information was that 9 people lost their lives and 47 people went missing.

Yopi Haryadi, head of the search and rescue office in the region, said: “Waves of up to 5 meters sank the boats. To date, 77 people have been rescued alive.

Rescue efforts continue in the area, where weather conditions have started to improve.
