The Higher Education Executive Council discussed the teaching of summer schools in universities at its meeting on July 7, 2021 and decided not to apply distance education methods in summer schools. .
However, the new decision by the Higher Education Executive Council, which met today after universities determined the academic calendar for summer courses and some universities started their summer training, has been notified in writing to the universities.
According to the YÖK article on “Summer Education Trainings”, the previous ruling that distance education cannot be done in summer schools at universities will not be implemented “only for this year” .
The decision will be effective from the academic year 2021-2022. In this context, distance education can be done in the summer schools of universities this summer term.
