In Afghanistan, the Taliban have announced the establishment of a “provisional government” headed by Mullah Mohammed Hassan, after yesterday announcing that they had taken full control of the country.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced the names that will take place in the “interim government” at a press conference in Kabul.

Mujahid said Hasan has been appointed “deputy prime minister” and that they have appointed Molla Abdulgani Brother and Abdusselam Hanefi to be their assistants.

“Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs” – Emirhan Muttaki

“Deputy Ministry of Defense” – Mohammed Yaqub Mujahid

The Taliban announced yesterday that clashes with the forces of National Resistance Front leader Ahmad Massoud in Panjshir province were over and that they had taken full control of the region.
