İnci carried out post-doctoral studies in the field of optical communication at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University between 1993 and 1994.
İnci became an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department of Boğaziçi University in 1994 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1996.
Working as a visiting researcher at Gunma University (Japan) on industrial applications of fiber optic sensors in 1998-1999, Prof. Dr. İnci was a faculty member of Sabancı University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences between 1999 and 2005, and participated in the establishment of the university’s basic and research laboratories and other programs. undergraduate and graduate.
